Edge nightclub manager

I never imagined that being famous could be annoying, but a night out with the Manchester United boys proved me wrong.

I used to hang out with Man U player Alan Smith when I lived in England, so when he came to Hong Kong he asked me to show the team around. After watching their match against Hong Kong Select at the Hong Kong Stadium, I joined the players for dinner at the Football Club, then left to meet some friends while the players got ready to hit the town.

I started my night as usual with a few drinks at Edge before having a couple more in Lan Kwai Fong, but it was soon time to pick up the Man U boys from Kee Club. There was a crowd of fans going crazy outside and the players had to scramble through the media throng to get on a minibus that was taking us up the road to Dragon-i, where rapper Ice-T was to perform.

The fans were pushing through the club to our table to try to meet the Man U boys, so after a while some of the players slipped downstairs to Edge, where they had a VIP room with champagne and Chivas.

But once they moved onto the dance floor and people started recognising them, all the camera phones came out. People were even asking for my autograph.
