ALL FIVE PCCW sales staff nominees have been honoured for the seventh straight year.
The team members were selected from more than 100 internal applicants, then participated in a training programme in preparation for the judging.
However, the proud participants agreed that - especially outside the judging room - the ability to listen was as important in making a sale as the fluency of their pitch.
'PCCW has a wide range of information technology and telecommunications products and services. What we're offering is a total and customised solution to address our customers' needs. It
is comprehensive. That is why we have to be good listeners to understand clearly what our customers want,' said account manager Gabriel Woo.
'Every day you have requests from customers, new products [and] new services. It is changing every minute, every second ... All customers have their own requirements, agendas and internal policies,' he said.
Mr Woo said he entered the competition partly to enjoy the 'really amazing' learning experience.
