England captain Simon Amor knows better than to make rash predictions but he is relishing the double challenge of next year's World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong.

Winners of the past three Hong Kong Sevens tournaments, Amor's England will be bidding for an unprecedented fourth successive title in Hong Kong next March. But that's not all.

'We'll also be trying to become the first country to hold the World Cup in both 15s and sevens,' said Amor, who has recently been shortlisted for the World Sevens Player of the Year Award.

A diminutive back with great leadership skills and fierce passion, Amor would love to see his side succeed where Australia, South Africa, and Fiji have failed. 'I love representing my country and I love playing sevens. I'm very patriotic and if it was a chance to play tiddlywinks for England I'd jump at it,' said Amor who was a guest at yesterday's Rugby World Cup Sevens Long Lunch at the Grand Hyatt.

'Our World Cup squad is not named yet and it will take us a few outings in the next IRB Series to get an idea of where we stand but we have some good young players coming through,' said Amor, who plays club rugby for Gloucester.

'The top-level teams - ourselves, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, Australia, South Africa and Argentina - will all be in contention.
