Home to many manufacturing and packaging facilities, China is one of the largest glass markets in the world and a major trend driver in the industry. Rising to the challenge of meeting the demands of this dynamic market, Ta Hsiang Containers explores new techniques to develop next-generation glass applications.
"We are interested in co-operating with various industries to use glass in creating new stories," says general manager Don Tseng. "They can brainstorm with us to become more innovative in integrating glass in cutting-edge designs."
Ta Hsiang began as a Taiwanese ampoule bottle manufacturer in 1953. Through 50 years of intensive research and development, it has expanded its product lines and has earned distinctions such as being the first company to produce black glass-ceramic panels in China. It is also one of the largest glass-ceramic suppliers in China.
"Our clients can use our products with confidence," Tseng says.
Ta Hsiang is poised to introduce new product lines such as borosilicate glass for medical, laboratory and optical applications. With its vision to supply products to a wider variety of industries, Ta Hsiang also plans to increase its production capacity for glass-ceramics and borosilicate glass in the coming years.
Committed to providing reliable products such as glass containers, Ta Hsiang also produces innovative green materials at its China plant, including glass-ceramics for home appliances and Prediam stone for construction. In response to great demand for white marble in the construction and design industries, the company applies controlled crystallisation technology to manufacture white and black Prediam stone. Breaking through crystallised glass technology and obtaining international patents from many countries, Ta Hsiang produces Prediam stone in white to substitute natural white marble.
