GKB Security innovates for a safer world
Like the human eye, the patented Video Fire Detection System (VFDS) from global security solutions provider GKB Security accurately recognises fire and smoke images. In 20 seconds, the equipment can sound the alarm, indicate the fire's location and send text messages to concerned parties. Able to support up to 128 closed-circuit TV cameras, VFDS beats traditional fire detectors, which work in five minutes and only in closed spaces.

"It is a powerful solution bound to become the industry trend," says president and CEO Peter Jen, who founded GKB with his brother 17 years ago.
Transforming into a complete solutions provider from a hardware supplier six years ago, GKB offers fully customised security surveillance systems. GKB allots at least 5 per cent of revenue to research and development. Its wide dynamic range cameras create clear, lifelike pictures even under illumination of below 0.0001 lux in colour mode.
Meanwhile, the GKB Cloud NVR Platform is the world's first cloud computing-based security solution.
Catering primarily to system integrators, the company supplies to more than 75 countries through subsidiary companies in Canada, the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand.
"Asia is a huge market for security solutions and we are dedicated to building long-term relationships with system integrators, end-users and distributors in the region," Jen says.
