It’s only been two months since Samsung released its first foldable smartphone, but there’s already a second model… and you can only buy it in China.

In terms of looks, the W20 5G has sharper edges and flatter side bezels than its predecessor, the Galaxy Fold. More importantly, the screen appears to fold together more tightly, as you can see from these photos posted by Chinese tech blogger Ice universe. This might help block debris that could damage the screen and hinge, as Tom’s Guide points out.
The guts of the W20 5G also got a slight upgrade. It has Qualcomm's newer Snapdragon 855+ chip, which has a GPU that’s 15% more powerful than the 855. But the battery is slightly smaller at 4,235mAh compared with 4,380mAh. Otherwise, both phones have the same screens, cameras, RAM and storage.
The price of the W20 5G hasn’t been announced yet, but it goes on sale in China next month. It will compete against Huawei’s foldable Mate X 5G, which was released in China last week -- when its limited stock immediately ran out.
